Is it over yet?

I am NOT allowed to become this ambivalent and complacent this early in finals . . . three exams left, with the last one ridiculously spaced out from the rest (I had one today, one each tomorrow and Friday, and the last one on Tuesday).  Although technically now I am over halfway done, I've already taken 4.  I can feel my motivation dripping out of me more rapidly every hour.  I only need a 40-something on tomorrow's test to keep my A, and C's on the other two to keep my A's in those classes.  Obviously, though, I will not let myself get a 40 or a C on the final exams, I always study as if my grade depends on it, but after the absolute gauntlet that has been this semester I am finally hitting the point where motivation is taking more and more effort.

Blah!  Off to hit the books.

Random notes from my study material, by the way: Did you know that some insects are fertilized via hemocoelic insemination, meaning that the male basically drills a hole in her (between the head and the thorax) with his copulatory organ to inject his sperm.  Another reason to be thankful that we are mammals.

Cammy,

Been there, done that. Actually, for a sociology class, I didn't even have to *show up* to keep my A. Science courses, however, never seem to work that way. Lab practicals were the worst- I always got freaky nervous and dropped things, etc.

Good luck!

I'm commenting here as a way to procrastinate writing my final paper for my graduate seminar. It's due sometime today, so, of course, I started it today. I do this quite often (thanks ADD), and it's always stressful until I finally finish it. But I seem to pull out my best work when faced with a looming deadline, so I know that it'll probably be fabulous.

I used to stress way more about school during my ED and undergrad days, but I always managed to pull through and with good grades, to boot. Ironically enough, I'm way less stressed about grad school than I was about undergrad -- and weirdly enough, I also find it much easier overall.

I definitely do not miss the exam days of undergrad. My sympathy is with you, Cammy. Slowly, but surely, it'll soon be over.

To Rachel: I've heard very similar things about grad school being easier and less stressful than undergrad. Still though, I don't know, my head doesn't wrap around it and continues to feel horribly fearful of any academics.
